We are on the front lines fighting frac sand mining and the mountain top style removal of our beautiful bluffs. If we can stop frac sand mining we can help stop fracking. I did a short film called FRAC SAND LAND and have been touring around the states to educate people about frac sand mining and the connections to fracking. I met Josh in Telluride, CO after he pulled me up on stage with John and Sandra to tell my story about FRAC SAND LAND and how frac sand mining is devastating our communities. Our group and myself are continuing to make connections and want to bring frac sand mining to the National attention. So many people are unaware about how the frac sand is obtained for the fracking process. Josh knows me and what my group is about and I have become good friends with John Fenton since I met him at the Stop the Frack Attack Summit in Dallas, TX this past Spring. WE recently won the Grassroots Award from the Iowa Chapter of the Sierra Club because of opur work against fsm, which I will be accepting on Oct.5th. I have also recently finished a video MACHINERY DESTRUCTION for a rock band out of Minneapolis and will be touring around presenting live performances of the visual devastation created by this Industry. Any help pushing out the info and connecting frac sand mining and fracking would be great. Robert Nehman Vice President ACP Education Campaign, please pass this on to Josh, GO BEARCLAW!

The Allegheny Defense Project (ADP) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of the natural heritage of the Alleghenies and Pennsylvania’s only national forest, the Allegheny National Forest (ANF). We have been engaged in monitoring and research, education, participation in the public decision making process, litigation, and promoting responsible outdoor recreation since 1994 when University of Pittsburgh students from the Bradford Campus formed the group. ADP is the only grassroots organization with a restoration focused vision for the Allegheny. We support a citizen-led, public land ethic that attains biological diversity, and protects water quality, wildlife habitat, natural heritage, wilderness and recreation opportunities
